In this raw, personal episode, I share how I’ve learned to let my body lead when thinking my way through emotional pain just isn’t possible. This week, like so many before it, has asked more than my prefrontal cortex can answer — and so I returned to the wisdom of movement.

From the science of the vagus nerve and the stress response to the subtle, somatic ways we can metabolize grief — this is a reflection on what it means to process emotion through the body. Not to escape, but to integrate.

You’ll hear stories from my own practice and lived experience, woven with insights from trauma expert Peter Levine and current neuroscience on how movement regulates the nervous system.
